I am sure I saw it in the sound of music.

I saw S of M just once in 1964, so have no memory of it. The styling looks too 70s for a film set in 1939-ish, but it would not be the first time a film prop was wrong for the time!

Yes it was briefly in the Sound of Music.
It was in the scene where Maria hails a cab on the mountainside for the VonTrapp Children.

Reminds me that, a few years ago, I heard on the radio an interview with one of the surviving Von Trapp children.  They asked her how true to life was the story of them walking over the Alps.

"Not really", she said, "They do that in the film, but we took a taxi to the station, and then got the train".

Arrr, please don't make me suffer again! , years ago yours truly was chief projectionist at the local posh flee pit ! , we had it for the 7 days - but it did so well they re-booked it so we screened Sound of Music for four weeks , two performances daily  :(
(glad to say BTH had just installed Zenon bulbs some days before - making the Mk1's really Supa !)
