Mystery Car
« on: December 19, 2016, 11:18:05 PM »
I saw this picture on Ebay but it's not a car I recognise but it is prewar.  Does any one know anything about it?   I am not sure if the attachment of the picture worked, if not it can be found on EBay under
"Photo - 125cc microcar, Leipzig motor show, 1930's".

I still feel this is more of a miniaturisation of a BMW 326 Sports, think it is, from 1937-9. So it might have always been intended as a one off. Does have a badge on display though. Body company showing skills? The date thus could be just pre war. I am no good at fashion, but a tooth brush moustache might be rare post war? If post war I would move over a decade forward and point at the rather MKE like wheels and hubs. But not the same as Messerschmitt.

Note the BMW 326 was the design given to Bristol, that began there run of cars, post war. A dramatic improvement on BMWs Dixie Austin 7 copy.
