Lambretta Willams
« on: August 04, 2019, 07:07:48 PM »
Hi Folks
I'm restoring a Lambretta Willams microcar.  It's a LHD with its 125cc engine at the rear.  Apart from the 3 normal pedals .... accelerator, brake and clutch .... it has an additional pedal on the driver's side of the transmission tunnel.  Does anyone know what this is for?  The cable that was attached to it has long since deteriorated.
Kindest Regards to All
John

I don't know the Willams, but a fourth pedal on a single-cylinder car can be to operate a decompressor (to help the starter spin the engine).

You say the cable's long gone - but is there any sign on the cylinder head of a decompressor?  (Usually screwed into the head much like a spark plug is.)
