NEW MYSTERY MACHINE - ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE?

COL'S NEW MYSTERY MACHINE
[/b]

Have just seen my new Mystery Machine for the first time, when I collected it this afternoon. Wanted to share it with you.

:-\ Not sure of identity yet as I've not done much research, but there are a few good clues:

It has an engine which is the same as the Messerschmitt 191cc Sachs. And as far as I can see, the only scooters with these engines were

1. PROGRESS 200

2. HERCULES R200 which was sold in Britain as

3. PRIOR VISCOUNT

However, have not found any info that these companies made a lastenroller.

It came out of an old orchard in Bournemouth, and in the past I've found vehicles in similar state in that area that had been used at Hurn Airport or some of the smaller airports nearby.

With its towbar on the rear and the way the rear has been set up it might be a one-off constructed for airport use?

The framework on the rear box is very different from the Tula Muravey farm tipper for example; or the Goggo lastenroller.

Does anyone recognize the rear axle? Gearbox? Front forks?

Engine is stuck and out to try and free it off for the past month.

The tyre size is 350 x 12.

No frame number found as yet (I'll give it a better scrub in the next few days). Only a letter 'H' found so far. I guess frame number is my best hope, so I may be scrubbing that frame for a while...

Hi Chris,

The forum software has been a bit funny this evening. Froze just as i was writing the thread. And then every time i tried to access the site, it tried to download files to my computer (which i removed pronto).

Anyway, plenty pics now added for you to ponder.

Dear Trip

Thank you for the full set of images. The mystery vehicle looks just up your street. However it does look as if it might be a one off.

I look forward to seeing the finished, fully restored vehicle.
