Alif microcar from Pakistan
« on: June 15, 2006, 10:12:45 PM »
Hi Folks.  The Daily Mail Saturday 27/5 reported the launch of the Alif, a four-seat micro powered by a 200cc four-stroke engine.

Said to be capable of 80mpg and available in a gas-powered version, it's being touted as a replacement for the Auto Rickshaw which is being phased out because of their polluting two-strokes.  My Auto Rickshaw is a four-stroke so the traditional three-wheeler shoudl live on a little longer - I hope!

The Alif is also available in a van and pick-up version.  The Alif is made by the Pakistani firm Transmission and costs - wait for it - £1650!  Naturally, I want one.
