Hey,
This is my latest project. A Lego Inter. I will probably make it a Torpedo, but I'm not sure, depends if I can make an opening door, since the whole car is diamond shape, which messes up the "straightness" of the build.
Here are some pics!
Sorry they are yellow, bad lighting.
Of course it is onlt the basic frame, I will make the steering more compact, and better response.
As you can see, the wheels go in, just like the early Inters, and Reyonnah's (just forward, not down).
I will add big light on the front, since you can only get 1 stud diameter, 2 stud, 3 stud, 4 stud. 2 is too small, 3 is too big, but 3 looks better.
Hope you like it!

Looking good

designed by ogel . i presume it goes backwards ;)

Well done JP. You have the steering geometry right. Works by parallelogram. Reyonnah's dont work in the same way though, the wheels fold under the car. I can understand why the shape would give you trouble using Leggo. I just dont get Leggo though, square bricks to represent curved things? Still as has been observed in another thread, if it teaches people mechanics it has to be a good thing. Are you going to make a model of me driving it? Cheers, Bob

Hi Bob,
I could, but it wouldnt really look like you ;)
I may completely redesign the body since I'm not too happy with it being that blocky.
Lego dont just make square parts, a lot of domed parts too!
We make loads of Lego models (as ytou probably saw!), and my brother is making a 1/3 scale Lamborghini, its Giant!

A reckon I know one vehicle which would completely stump you, JP.
My Drum Car!

I think it would have to be Mechano for that one! :D Why not move on to real model making? I'm sure your dads got a band saw and a lathe, you could use wood, fiberglass, plaster, the options are endless. Knowing how well your brother can draw I think you would both take to it quite easily and there may be money to be made at it too! Have you see Terry Parkins remote controled Isetta's?

On the Lithophone (stone xylophone) project I was part of in 2009 and 2010 we printed prototype brackets to check the design, quite fragile, but a great piece of technology.

Wow! Shame they cost 40 000$ (new)...
Cant wait till I'm older, hopefully they will be things that most offices have! In 10 years thye should be cheap (I hope!)

well you seem to have the parts to make bob - the DOME for a head :D :D - sorry handed that one on a plate bob

Its whats under the dome that counts! Sad! The unintelligent always resort to highlighting others physical characteristics to compensate for there own lack of Witt! ::) ::)

A fine repost from Mr Purton there!

Put two dome headed boffs in a room and the ideas crackle like a Van de Graff generator. Makes your hair stand on end.
Hair are ideas that failed to make it, aren't they.
