Here is my daily run about at age 18 outside home at Cranham, Upminster. The Regal was my dad's. We sprayed it Harvest gold, all the rage in 1974 with one of those vacuum cleaner attachments.
Easy quiz, can you identify the scooter?

Just a step to the right?

not a vacuum cleaner attachment but a vacuum motor itself - perhaps it was one of these bob - in my garage and itching to be used , the motor appears in good order

Hummingbird compressor? Little thing with a handle and much bought from Exchange and Fart. Used for many a garage respray. I have one to pump up tyres over the shed. It max out at about 22 lbs per sq inch but enough to be round. No chance of blowing rotted/mutilated tyres, as with a bigger compressor. Method in the madness.
Visions of Root, dust settling, recovering from shock, after second tyre explosion in the van on moving dead Invacars. But the tyres looked so good......
