As a matter of fact, this Tritech Schmitt replica was offered on carandclassic in October 2012 for £7500. The then owner was located in Cheshire.
Good luck to the new vendor, a dealer in Essex who is hoping to achieve £12995!

I would suspect someone acquired a log book for a smitt that has been scraped and put the number plate on the tri tech but i might be wrong.

Another Bargain - and no need to worry about that nasty original Sachs engine!

This is a very good car to drive. It would be a hard car to return to original. I can see why it will fetch a serious price none the less, as it works.

What do you do about reversing and spare wheels?

Nought to do with me but I had a hand in the pre-restored car, supplied some parts, seen it, driven it and lusted after its usefulness. Reversing is for people with sat navs and Spare wheels were always an optional extra on a Schmitt. Tools and a tube will do the front. Not so sure what the rear has. Then again the speed this thing can do a rear blow out will mean you do not need to worry about changing the wheel as you will be getting a free trip in a blood wagon. I am surprised it is for sale to be honest.
