Title: Boston rally caption contest.
Post by: Bob Purton on May 26, 2013, 08:50:40 PM
Just got back from the Boston Museum rally, what fantastic weather we had and two great runs out in the cars.

We arrived at the harbor for a river boat trip and there was only one parking space left which as you can see posed no problem. Any ideas for a caption for this photo?

'Want your house extended into a whole hidden country? Fit an Aslan door, a world apart'.

Special offer on Wardrobes this month, free lampstandard with each one.

Our call centre is not in India but staffed by British talking animals. We should warn you that Aslan is not tame and should not be confused with a Christian allegory. If you are an owner of a Zundapp Jardis, or similarly named property, thing or person, you are disbarred from this offer.

The Blackwater River Wideners Club amateur ethnic cleansing team move into Boston 'for River Trip'. Police believe the leader is called Thumper and are worried by overheard threats of 'bubbling'.

Ho Ho!! I'm not even sure if Als computer is showing the right photo!

BOGOF? Bostons migrant population did seem very friendly where as the indigenous folk were firing guns at us at 6 o'clock in the morning!  ;D WE were told later that they were light activated bird scaring cannons!

There were two very nice cars in attendance, Mike O'Balances Goggo Coupe and a great DKW shown here. Its powered by a 750 triple two-stroke which sounded wonderful!! [not a microcar, sorry headmaster!]

Two of my old cars in the same picture. Deek Junior might have been here too, though with Tony Bailey on visits. Still got two of his Schmitts. Pity to have missed the fun. I am on my third load of used Roofing tiles to empty today. Trailer is full of special EHB bricks and a girt great galvanized steel oil tank complete with vintage tap. Exactly what your not allowed to use anymore, so I will. Yep moving means nigh on the whole house round here!

How patronizing :D, Of course I know what it stands for! We do have supermarkets here in the south.  I was just taking a literal spur
so as to dilute Als thinly disguised xenophobic caption..

I do a good thinly disguised. However I am frightened by the noise playing a Xenophobic. Is that the wooden one, the steel one or then one with hamsters and hammers? Yes I had to tone down the first version.

How about

'Boston tea party. One lump of iron or two?' I really must stop insulting people - damned fools.

Have you ever seen Patrick Moore play one of those? He is rather good but it still looks so  funny for some reason.
I have a friend you swears that he can play a tune on his chickens! Yes he arranges them in a row in the correct order and in turn gives them a squeeze, the result, Three blind mice! Or three bruised chickens depending upon interpretation.
