Title: maico 500 sports cabriolet

Carlisle Pennsylvania is a HUGE auto enthusiast destination for all manner of events, so that is what he is referring to.

Not heard of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, particularly either.

Post by: Rusty Chrome (Malcolm Parker) on March 30, 2014, 11:02:11 AM: Apparently Maico were pretty much bankrupt by 1957 but somehow managed to convince the coachbuilding company Gebrüder Beutler that things were fine and the Maico 500 Sport was the result. A few cars were put together for motor shows (4 according to Deutsche Kleinwagen), one of which did go to America before Beutler realised they weren't going to get paid. Although they look nothing like the other Maico's, they do look like scaled down versions of other Beutler vehicles from the same era.

There was also a one-off coupe and another coachbuilt sports by Wendler
