Rare and lovely, possibly somewhat over-restored.

I agree, but I wish my Frisky Chassis looked like that!
-
Well get your finger out then Mike, you've had long enough!! What do you mean over restored? We dont know what it looked like before. If it was red rust and had great big holes in the fiberglass what would you suggest, only half paint the chassis? Just badly fill the holes? hand paint it? Its been done properly!
-
Oh I agree it has been done superbly, and I do not mean it as a criticism, but I think it might look even better than it would have done when brand new.
-
.... i like the engine ;)

Keep your hair on! ;) how many times have we had this conversation Bob? I think if the interior coverings were a little worn I'd like it more. Still the price on these hasn't risen much in the past decade (the last time I saw one advertised) or does this sum reflect the cost of the engine?

Wot hair is that! :D

Very nice to, whats the cost of shipping back from australia
John
-
A LOT !
I will ask an Aussie drummer I know if he has any idea.
-
Hello John: If you need a quote on a container to UK from OZ try my friend Nick Smith. smithint@netcon.net.au . He has arranged many containers from Melbourne to Momence (US) for me over the years. He is a shipping broker in a small town in Central Victoria, but SA is not that far away or maybe able to arrange that from SA. Real nice fella. A 40 footer from Melb to Momence typically runs complete about $A8,000.00, but you would only need a 20, so probably about 2/3 of that, or RORO would be better. Ask him. Ian.
-
An American fellow on a drum forum has suggested RORO Container or part thereof.
He has dealt with Embassy who are in UK and Oz and recommends them, or Cardinal Maritime, if they do Oz.
No idea of price, but a call to Embassy might give you an idea. This fellow does quite a lot of shipping UK-USA and seems to know his stuff.

Sounds like you are considering buying, so good luck and...
......look forward to seeing it!

I was interested in this car and tried to make some enquires via the Zeta register about it but didn’t get any reply so I decided to leave it.
However Nick Smith was very helpful with transport costs etc for which I have thanked him.
For those of you considering bringing in a car from Australia the rough costs are
Roll on Roll off £1236 , or alternatively In a container £2368
