Remember when Top gear was a motoring programe???
« on: June 17, 2014, 02:35:37 PM »
Another great clip that I haven't watched for a long time.
Love the bit at the end of the song..." I say!, I think this bubblecar is rather jolly, don't you?"

Nice one, I think I have that clip on VHS somewhere, did not realise it was Top Gear.

I certainly do remember when TG was about MOTORING, not about trying to be cynically funny. Each episode had a segment for two wheelers too, powered and pedaled ones, in fact anything with a TOP GEAR! Now it's only about supercars, or extracting the wossname from non-supercars.
Just remember: as one door closes behind you, another slams in your face

But a Jolly is a Fiat! Beep Beep.

Top Git with Little Benny the Ball and Brain, and their real action cartoon fun. Needs Officer Dibble for the full effect, but it keeps older kids happy and quiet for an hour so the ladies can talk on the 'phone.

So who can name the record and the artist playing on the video?

I assume you're talking about the "won't you come with me in my bubble car" song? Not heard that one before, so I'd be interested to know.

Wow. Written by the same person who wrote that Eurovision favourite "Save your kisses for me" and arranged by the chap who did the music for 633 Squadron.
