Title: Time to get your cars out.
Post by: NickPoll on April 14, 2013, 11:11:32 AM
Hello all,
This morning I gave the Nobel a wash, then Jonathan and I went to an antique market near by in it. The sun was shining and we took a lovely route past a big lake and thought it worth a photo. So here it is.

well, i although thought to take the cars out yesterday. I decided to take the TG for a nice sunny trip after a short test drive with the Mopetta.
Anyway, after a short run on the motorway - yes it was necessary-  i drove further on a country road. Fortunately very slow after a traffic light, and than it happens . I lost the left rear wheel !!!! Shocked.
No worries. No cracks or damages.
What a bad season opening at last  >:(

Oh dear! I assume an error of memory to tighten up some fasteners. All to easy if you get interrupted over a winters fettling. I have done the same myself.

Just MOTed the Metro to be got rid of and booked in the next Schmitt for MOT. Should be time to get it going while I am up North. If so then it can do a few raids, possibly with AP in one of his cars. Been a long time since there was Micro action in the far North West. If it goes well it might be possible to get to have an informal gathering of used cars with the Southport mob, the Garners and Richard up from the Wirral. Morcombe?

I've heard of people converting a 3-wheeler into a Tiger, but not a Tiger into a 3-wheeler !!! What happened, was it the four wheel nuts, the large 30mm centre nut ? Luckily for you that no damage was done to the wing.  I'm so looking forward to finishing my own Tg. It's been too long in bits and now it's coming together and the end is in sight.              Nick.
