Chris Thomas, Mike Plant and I went to Retromobile this weekend and enjoyed a special treat, Claud la Bihan was there displaying most of his collection of exotic French microcars. It was a privalige to meet the man after all these years and also to meet Jean Do of French National Microcar/Scooter Rally fame. Chris will be writing it up for RCN but for now here is a glimpse of what we feasted our eyes apon. I even found a rear light for my Inter in the autojumble! Mike Shephard who was in Paris with his daughter Emily also attended and a great time was had by all.

Go on, then - what make is the 1962 red coupé? That's a new one on me. Looks a bit Subaru-ish but 1962 must be too early for that.

Dear Jean Do
Thank you for the picture of me standing on a chair
Whilst we know that the Lady liberty was presented to the American people by the French people, and Lady Liberty is very well known. I have to disagree with you regarding my similarity to the Staue of Liberty. It was good to see you and Jacotte as well as all the splendid cars at the show.

Dear Jean Do, I have been rumbled! I do moonlight as a jumbo jet pilot on a part time basis, please dont tell the inland revenue!

oh ,but do you know the price to keep silence ....

Nice pics.
I went up the Statue of Liberty a couple of years before 11/9 and after that it was closed to the public. It is a great piece of work, with the internal structure designed by Gustave Eiffel, and very similar in principle to the Tower. The skin is copper sheet, about as thick as a standard coin.
Have not seen that Mazda before, very nice, similar to an NSU Prinz.
