Finally got my restored Mopetta engines back.
Ready to fit anyway

Which is the ultimate correct unit?

For the mopetta the V50/3 with 2.3 hp was used.
Over the years many different ILO Piano engines were built. The main difference is the cylinder (inlet) and that later engines have a drive chain instead of a belt.
I have also two V54/3 engines. The only difference I can see is that the pull starter handle is a bit higher (like to ones on Ferdis engines)

Thanks. Like the Sachs and Zweirad Union units there are quite a few variations in the units if one gets really technical. Certain versions can be very hard to source. I must make a note of this in case I ever see one at a price useful to had.
