Peel p50 for sale on Ebay in Germany - item no. 110550684356
-
It's interesting how many Mini Comtesse owners also have Peel P50's.... :)
-
I wonder why they want to sell it? Surely thats a car to hang on to?
-
This Peel is the former Gunter Paland P50 and it was long time missing.
As to the Peel mafia. Are we able to grab it ???? ;) ;) ;)
-
I see that they want to swap it with an Inter!

Are Mini Comtesse that common? Are there any real Peel owners with fake Comtesse? It ranks with the Excelsior engined Mini as something that should be done.

There are four Mini Comtesse's in the UK, being mine, the one at Lower Stondon car museum, Mike Shepherd's & what's-name's up in Lancashire, with Bob Cotton's old car, who also has the Blackpool Tower P50. There's one P50/Comtesse double act for a start! Mike missed doing the double act as he was a former P50 owner by the time he got his Comtesse.
Bruce Weiner just missed out on the double act as he had cleared most of his 1970s & '80s stuff by the time he acquired ARX 37B. Hmmm, intrestring thoughts there, Bruce got rid of a Comtesse to get a P50, whereas Mike got rid of a P50 to get a Comtesse! Who was right? There may only be one way tio find out, as Harry Hill would say..... ;D
Our Ferdi is amply redressing the balance though, as he has TWO Mini-Comtesse's alongside his TWO Peels. So that's a Double-Double Act. Or is it a Quadruple Act? :)
Right, I'd better depart now, as I have an appointment with my bank statement....

So one of those is the ex Frome car, along with several other Comtesse models, another the ex Wynford car and there was another in Bristol I never saw but was confused with a Peel which is probobly the Peel now at Grant's. That all at the sametime back in about mid '80's. More common than Larmars I think on which they based the excess of doors and streamlined styling. Banbury Vintage Show is it? Not the Banbury Run or Bloxwich. Keep missing them.

Up to nigh on £13k.
Where will it end....? (I'm aware of the reserve) In the art world a copy has very little value compared to the real deal...
Picasso copy £2k - real one £35M! (a P50 is much rarer than a Picasso!)
I watch with baited breath...

Where will it end....? ...the real deal...
In an Oxfordshire garage perhaps? (The Peel Mafia know what I mean) ;)

..........and i do know the hiighest bidder. Me? Stranger? Peel Mafia member?
Who knows anyway ... ;D
