Moto Guzzi Micro 4X4?
« on: March 31, 2014, 10:37:35 AM »
Just saw this during my usual searching for Guzzino parts on evilbay.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-CF-MOTO-CF-625-3-RED-/251467238884?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item3a8c9d8de4
It doesn't specify what engine size.

Isn't 60 on the number plate 2010?

https://www.autocheck.co.uk/NumberPlateRegistrationYears.html

Why then 2012 model?  Registered in 2012 - or just a mistake?

I had a response from the seller.

It is 500cc and 2010.

Then he changed his mind and sent a new response saying that it was 2012

I have asked what make the engine is and why has it got a 2010 plate.

Well its not a Car! Its a Quad.
Err, and its not a Micro as its 2010 or 2012 depending which version of the Aztec calendar your using (It predicts when it will go wrong, don't you know). Where is the minimalism of design?

But unlike quads it has a roof, steering wheel, windscreen and two seats side by side like a car. Is it a micocar, I'm past caring! ::)

Thats what I thought Bob.  I don't regard it as a microcar but it ticks all of the requirements.
Age???  What is the cut-off point?  I think you can have a brand new microcar.

That's right, microcars don't have to be old.

Why don't they make Cyclecars anymore then? Is an E type Jag with a Villiers engine a Microcar?
Its great to be inclusive, not least as all this new stuff can be taken to events as 'microcars' Priced at £1000s rather than £10,000s, thus usable to those reluctant to wave their wallet at some 4X4 nutter on a mobile likely to knock it from your grip. I understand the issues. However, do I want to go to an event in my genuine Bloggthorpe Minor to find most of the stuff there is modern, kitcar or fake and most not really running. Nope. If we are just holding small car events I would be more inclined to get the Church Pod going, or similar, as it will commute the distance at good speed and the contest becomes more about who invents something that really offers modern small motoring that works. That may, or may not be, a microcar. It is a different scene, activity and historic cars are likely to get lost in the shuffle. You choose, I already have.
