Even cuter than a Goggo van

Not come across this one before, the 1948 Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation (CAC) Deliverette. Somewhat related to the Australian Hartnett car, styling appears to be by Pixar.

That joins the list of cars/scooters wanted just for having a silly or rude name. Shades of Larmar with its pedestrian way capabilities.

There is something about this van that reminds me of a horse transporter! I suppose it would carry a Shetland pony. :D

It looks like an extreme local delivery van, as it's name implies, something similar to a UPS van - not only does it have what look to be folding doors that can be left open, it even has a saddle for the driver, presumably so he didn;t have to get in/out of a normal seat?

I would, Bob. They might be using the wrong manure on the crops! That could really make a substance hit the fan.

As one horse said to the other - 'Honest. They put it on their Rhubarb!' The other said - 'Is that what the CAC van is for then? That will be why it fits through stable doors, has a saddle and has a sliding door that stays open when your driving.'

I bet Veggieism is having a great increase in interest and experimental adherents just about now.

Oh very good Richard! Now we know why you are a sale rep and not on the stage! I really don't understand it all, if people are happy to eat a cow then why not a horse? I'm just a veggie because it suits me, I don't evangelize vegetarianism. My wife is a still carnivore, its a free country, well actually it isnt anymore, we cant state in public what we think is morally right or wrong, anyway, better not go there again otherwise Chris will get all "New normal"  ::)

Very nice, looks like a cross between a Goggo van and a Morris Commercial J Type, which had a similar looking split windscreen.
Commonwealth famous for fighter aircraft like Wirraway and Wacket, with big radial engines, so yet another road vehicle with strong connections with the aircraft industry and pilots. Voiisin, Heinkel, BMW Don Bennet/Fairthorpe, Dornier, Messerschmitt, and even a Bristol Blenheim one-off for driving around the factory. Many more too no doubt.

micro related but we are in danger of marcus dragging us skywards again , Vernons never built aircraft as far as i know but almost everything including these generators for aircraft - and even the kitchen sink - under the Houseproud brand

Davis Brown (DB of Aston-Martin fame) tractors were favourite tractors for towing big WW2 planes. Shame Aston-Martin never made micros (unlike Allard), but if they had the name Bond was already taken
