Right then, heres my Poll, what is your favourite British Micro out of the list above?
My main problem with the first poll was i hadnt a clue as to what three quarters of the cars were so i thought i would make a poll of cars that are more well known and to make it a bit more formal chose cars native to this island.
Should prove interesting!

Well, rejoin the RUM & find out what they are! ;D ;) :-*

Can I vote for a Bambi, Cursor, Trojan, Isetta there must be some more
OK two of them were built under licence but still they were built here ;)
-
The bond bug. Brilliant. Even in orange.
-
i also wanted to keep the list shorter so we could have a more concise result, nope, sorry no Trojan or Isetta, they must be 100% homegrown! ;D
-
All the Allard owners unite (not the V8 powered ones)
Thats two for Allard then
:)
-
thought there were 3? ???
-
Great idea Dan and having it over just seven days will be better than my 10 day one as it ran out of puff after five! Well, for me it was the frisky, I owned one briefly and it was great to drive ! I hope all the conveyence nutters have voted now and we will start to get a glance at the real winner! Only joking Stuart, I'm just as nutty as you , some would say more so!
-
hi dan
can you explain where the engines for a peel came from - I thought it was GERMAN?
-
Frisky was my second choice.
-

You're right mate, they are from Germany!
-
I think what Dan means is designed and built over here, buying in parts from abroad doesnt count.
-
well i was in 2 minds as to wether to include the Peel, due to the German engine and that it was built on the independent IOM,but i knew there would be a micro riot if i didnt! ;D
-
I went for the Astra as I love that car, :-* Though I wonder how many times Stuart has voted, surely conveyances arn't as popular as Peels!
-
It seems impossible to vote more than once!
-
But how do you all know I haven't got more than one idenity............
-
I dont think Darren would let anyone get away with that Stuart, but you wouldnt be the first on the forum with a few aliases!
-
Don't worry, there is indeed only one of me. That's the maximum which everyone can stand! ;D
-
Oh, your not so bad Stuart. This reminds me of the last thing you said to me after the retromobile trip just before I trotted off down Mikes garden path, " I can tell people now that your not as bad as you come across on the forum" I believe those were the words young man! Im still trying to work out if it was an insult or a compliment!
-
But then if you & me stopped insulting each other, We'd run out of things to say to each other..... ;D
-
This is true!
-
well as predicted the Peel mafia have overtaken all other votes, will there be another make to beat the little bleeders?only time will tell ;D
-
And look what's coming up in second place. Not for the first time we see the conveyances giving the Peels a run for their money on this forum. Just two more votes could set in motion possibly the biggest upset ever seen in the micro world..... ;D
"VOTE INVALID CARRIAGES; YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO......"
-
Stuart probably replied that he already had, hence why he was walking funny :D
-
Set up the champange in readyness, the conveyances are almost there! Time is nearly up & it's neck & neck between them & the Peels. One more vote and the conveyances are offically the UK's number one micro..... ;D I can hear the Peel owners (and one Inter owner) biting the carpet in anguish already.

THE TRUE-BLUE BRITISH MICRO......
-
Hmm Stuart, im not biting the carpet anyway.
I'll keep up the crown of Peels, though in Germany ;) ;) ;)
Although i do like the invalid carriages as well !!!
Cheers
Ferdi
-
I wouldnt be too cocky at this stage MacStuart. What you are forgetting is that we all have the capacity to change our votes at any time allowing us to top up what ever is in second place and thus scuppering any inappropriate win. Its called tactical voting! I still think there will be a Frisky landslide at the last moment.
-
Peels have been torched by the invacar at the moment!must be some closet ice blue fans out there!
-
So where is the Peel Mafia to vote !!! :( :(
-
Fear not Ferdi, the Peel mafia is alive and well. ;)
-
Good to know Trident ;)
-
Still feeling smug stuart? The little bl####rs as Dan puts it are racing past you peeping their little horns and waving goodbye!!
-
6 votes for the Peels!!!
Hurray ;D

What was it they always used to say at the start of "Stingray"?; "Anything can happon in the next half hour......" ;D
-
Dont look around Stuart, Friskies are snapping at your heels!
-
As one politician once in the run up to an election
-
It ain't over yet Bob, It's 10pm tonight the poll ends....
By the way, the Peels may have raced past earlier peeping their little horns & waving goodbye, but only becuse the conveyances pulled over & stopped to sign autographs, answer questions and have their photo taken with their adoring fans. ;D I can't recall the Peels doing that with their fans..... ;)
-
Trust me to get the day wrong! And I played my trump card too soon! I will be out tonight so will not be able to do any vote manipulating.
-
Come on everyone, lets get the final big push going.....
"VOTE INVALID CARRIAGES" & watch the Peel owners turn even funnier colours than this......
;D
-
We do need the Peel Mafia right now
:o :o :o
-
less than five minitues to go, & its neck & neck..... :o
-
Hello Bob, I thought you were out tonight! Came to watch the final results live eh?
-
Yep , just got in.
-
Amazing! The two worst cars to drive ever made coming joint first where as very drivable cars like Bonds, Reliants, Frisky getting no where! Maybe we should have a best to drive poll.
-
Well, there we have it. A dead-heat for the Peels & conveyances with seven votes each. The great micro public has spoken. An invalid carriage offically has the same kudos as a Peel these days.... ;D ;) You all realise I'm going to be totaly insufferable from now on? ;D But then at the end of the day, who's to say ANY micro is "above" or "below another in the grand order of things. We should be enjoying ALL the cars for what they are on an equal footing. After all, is that not what the Register of Unusual Microcars is all about?
Never mind Peel owners, We'll hold a joint victory drive-past down the Mall on Drive-It day, but for now, lets all clear off down Ferdi's pub to celebrate and stare at the collection of a person who has both Peels & conveyances side-by-side. Last person to actully drive his vehicle through the door & up to the bar (Top Gear-style) has to get the next round in....... ;) :D ;D 8)

Hi
Funny, whilst the poll was finishing i was down the local pub playing pool.
Went for the first night time drive out in the Heinkel, when my friend and I went in the pub some of the customers actualy cheered ( no it wasn't because a goal had been scored ).
Microcars make people smile, and to me thats what makes them more interesting than the other classic cars I have owned, the only others I have owned that came near it were the A30/35's but I think that is the almost micro size that gives the same effect.
