Here's one I'm not familiar with. Dave Chapman involvement.

I must have missed that Chris but it has to be asked, what was a car with a 1.3litre engine doing in a microcar magazine? ;)

Looking at the gallery there appears to be some Bond bug influences.

Yup, engine too big, but quite rare, unusual and a 3 wheeler. A lotof modern styling leaves me cold but the Razorcar looks superb.

Victor Kiam was not so impressed, so he did not buy the company, like Ronson. This mainly due to him being dead.
A good radical design which I am not sure I like but at least its different. Not a Morgan clone etc etc. Maybe it is too radical, but it remains a bit of a well known secret. Getting news of stuff out to buyers is a problem.

I would be interested to know if this three-wheeler is drivable at the sort of speeds it can do. A wide rear tyre with a 40-series aspect ratio sounds to me like as soon as there is any body roll, the rear tyre will rise up onto one shoulder and sudden oversteer will result.
Of course, lots of guys think 'real men love oversteer' but it suddenly appearing whenever cornering fast isn't clever. I remember seeing a 2F1R three-wheeler with a similar big bike engine, intended as a cheap racing car, which had a reversed Watts linkage at the front (centre pivot on car, two ends on suspension linkages) so that it behaved as a no-roll bar - the two sides of the front suspension could only move together in bounce and no roll was possible.

I had a Grinnal scorpion that had a wide, low profile tyre and was advised to run it at low pressure of about 14psi.
Great road holding and went like a rocket. Never had a problem with the rear tyre. Regret selling it.

Dear Bob
When the Razor first came out it was stated that any suitable motorcycle engine with the appropriate gearing would be suitable up to a 1300 cc 4 cylinder engine. Therefore, any engine like a 500 or 650 cc engine would easily fit. I think a Villiers 197 cc might be a bit disappointing.

Is not a reverse Watts linkage a Twats linkage? :o

I did read that somewhere Chris. I care not, just pulling your leg! I think the car is quite cool!

Why is it called a Razorcar. Is it for cutting-up other drivers on the road? Ugly looking thing!
-
You sound like you have a strop on Rob! Get it? Strop, razor? Please yourselves.
Just looking at the company website, they also supply them with a 525 KTM engine with reverse gear. Now that is a microcar!

I don't wear one. Hang loose. ;D

KTM, now thats more interesting. Could it be what the TRi Tech could have been? Need to know more and see one.
