Would be killer cool if it was one of the 3 that they made with the 2800 cc U8 engine formed by joining 2 of their 1400 cc fours together by oilpan casting and crankshaft chains.
However this type arrangement always incurs a weight penalty when compared to a true single motor of similar displacement for obvious reasons.
Tried with separated motors on the original Minis by inhabiting both fore and aft compartments and resulting in poorly coordinated 4 wheel drive quite a few years earlier.
Opposite the effect of a heavier water cooled twin cylinder with 10 x displacement of the Ligier JS8 engine that I suggested swapping under the seat.
Twimini's high polar moment of inertia, with the weight distribution and design attributes
of a classic dumbell, would keep it spinning like a top if pushed too far into oversteer.
