Delightfully daft.
-
Looked like the jet bike might have been a bit off colour - either that or you were running the low drag, streamlined windscreen wiper and mirror set
-
It was a strong wind so he struggled, coming back to the pits I couldn't catch him , he's does 60mph on a good day

Why did it look like he was only on the throttle of the jet bike for brief moments at a time?
We're the smoke bursts indicative of the jet running at nomal full throttle, or actually indicative of short bursts of afterburner activation?
-
I thought it was fear ;D
-
It was powered up the whole time ,just same smoke as the red arrows for show

A friend of mine has a real jet powered drag race car that tops out somewhere around 300 m.p.h. at the 1000 foot mark of the dragstrip.
He produces similar looking plumes of what looks like smoke by turning on his afterburner at the start line.
This injects large amounts of raw fuel into the jet engine's exhaust, which by virtue of the fuel vaporizing, but not yet igniting produces the huge plumes of crowd pleasing "smoke" - which is actually very environmentally incorrect unburnt fuel.
I was wondering if something similar was happening in the sequences shown on your video that depict short duration bursts of "smoke" being emitted by the jet bike.

Nothing like that it's just a tiny jet on a bike
