Title: What do YOU want to see?
Post by: Jonathan Poll on February 08, 2011, 11:13:54 AM
Hello,

Since I love making websites, I had an idea to make a general site about microcars.
I may call it something like "microcar-world.com" unless it is taken.
What cars would you want there to be? I want there to be "common microcars" like the schmitt and isetta, but also the rare ones like Brutsch.
The site will be like an online mag, with all the news
That people send in, but also have pages about your cars, where you
Can add in youre schmitt, brutsch, isetta, ptv etc...

Sounds like a good idea but how about finishing the RUMCARS site face lift first?

Now I'm getting worried. One of the reasons I like this forum is the layout, the way that threads roll on and its easy to find older stuff. If we ended up with a different formate like for instance the yahoo base forums it would be a disaster. Can you clarify what you mean by all new?  I dont think the forum needs any miodification but the web site appearance is a little stale now, maybe a new photograph on the home page, a different background colour would be nice as well.

Hi Bob,

I understand what you mean.
I sent you in a pm the new site. All I mde new was the site, not the forum. I will have to ask jil about the forum because mybe hee can move the old site to a certain server and just redirect my site to the foold forum when you click on it.
I will try my best to keep the old foum, and I think we will :)

dont mean to stifle any change but i have found it all very easy to follow and probably like others sometimes recap and go back a while to see if i missed anything . not sure but there just might be other old fogies out there and praps wouldnt like it too complicated.

best of luck with it anyway  ;)

This forum is not going anywhere at the moment.

This is a MAJOR component of the RUMCARS community.

Thats a relief! The web site could do with a freshening up but the forum format is great!

I know, the forum is great!
All I want to do is refresh the site.
We will try and keep the forum, otherwise we will not use my site :)88

Both can co-exist.

The goal is to get you to do a fresh look for the website that is easy to update.  The website will link to the forum section and the forum will link back to the website.
They do not have to be physically located in the same place.
