I wonder why they decided to mount the engine where they did?

Much decidedly not 1956. What happened to the passenger mentioned? Only his boots left to show he ever existed. My theory is the engine has ingested him hence all the worried peering and smoke.

I know this chap, it's Ewan Cameron. The motor is a JAP JTOR 86 bore x 99 stroke. It's exactly the same motor that's in my Brough. After the Tiger is finished the Broughs next on the list to get done. If it sounds and goes like that I'll need to change my underpants after each trip. My bike's got a 3-speed gearbox. They were famouse for achieving 106mph in second gear !!!!!!! Not bad for a pre war bike.
