On Friday May 16th a middle-aged man in tweed jacket was spotted by my brother driving a red Messerschmitt KR 200 along St James Road, Bermondsey, S.E. London, (but totally failed to call in fro a quick chat at my place). Anyone know who this could be?
-
OK, this is getting silly! My brother has seen this car twice at about 7.30 on a Friday morning. My Mum saw it this afternoon on or near our road. I posted the last message and no replies, and email Messershmitt club, no replies....who is this fellow. Apparently he is middle aged, glasses, small moustache, and it is red KR 200. Some one must know who this is!

Is the car a cariolet?

Oh very good Chris! Lets try again, is it a caBriolet? I sold a red one in auction a few years back that was bought by a London man who reportedly uses it regularly in London. It could be him I guess. More importantly, How many teeth on a Frisky family three drive wheel sprocket?

I have now tracked him down through the Messershmitt O.C., he commutes from Coulsdon, Surrey to Canary Wharf, usually by bike but is running in a new piston in the KR200 to get it ready for Liege Brescia Liege rally so that's why he sometimes paasses this way.

Yes, very funny Stuart but it is a serious enquiry. There was a time when this forum was good for getting help with ones microcar projects but now it seems to have decayed into a digital photo playground for computer buffs.

That is true, but great information is still available here on this forum if one asks.
A llittle bit of levity with re-modeling some cars via "Clip and Paste", showing the attributes of many if blended together, does fill in the blanks when the forum is slow. It also shows that owning micros is fun, when one can laugh at oneself (or your ownership preferences). :P
