Who can help me please. Are goggomobil headlights made by Hella and are they six inch? Thanks.
-
Hello Bobbybubble:
On my (soon to be LaforzaLand's) T400 the sealed beams are GE 6 1/2 ". The Chrome Dress Rings are stamped Hella, so you're right in your guess, and the ID is 7" and the OD is 8 1/2". Hope this helps, Ian.

I have a spare one - phone me

Having cannibalized a pair of Goggomobile headlights for the lenses in the past, the inner ring and headlight rims are certainly the same size as Fuldamobil S7

Thanks all. The particular ones I'm looking for are Hella marked 76R7 just below the centre and have steel bezels that are 6 inches diameter almost exactly. Definatly not 16.9 cms. As usual I'm proberbly in pursuit of hens teeth. What size and make are scootacar hights? Are they wipac?

Hi Bob,
I am sure the headlights on the Scootacar are the same as on the Peel P50. Made in the 1960/70s by Wipac, a 5 3/4" flush fitting lamp. The chrome rim is 6" dia. Hope the picture is readable!

Thanks Rob. You have proberbly guessed that I'm trying to match what Jean has on her T. The wipac bezels in the picture look right but jeans have hella lenses , of course her lamps could be a mixture of parts from various makers. Are the Wipac units hard to find?

Bob,
Weren't they 5 3/4" Wipac light units you had for sale the other month?
I am sure the lights on my old T were Wipac. Could you ask the present owner of the T if you know who it is? I don't.
As I can't get hold of lights for the Gordon, same as Bond Mk C. Also 5 3/4" dia. this is what I may have to do.
I have the two bowls, ex Scootaccar that fit onto Gordon. Now here is the lucky bit. Early BSA Bantam D1/3/5 reflectors & chrome rims fit. They are Wipac clones, I think. You can get these with fittings from T&G Motorcycles, 1 Slated Row, Old Wolverton, Milton Keynes. MK12 5NJ TeL: 01908 579799 They can supply a free Parts Catalogue for the Bantam.
Hey, don't we know some people who live locally?

PS Anyone going to School House Farm on Saturday, 24th.?

The lamp parts I got rid of recently were proberbly ones I should have kept but in true Bob Purton fashion I didnt think ahead, I didnt even measure them, they were in a box marked scootacar so I assumed thats what they were. Thats interesting what you say about BSA Bantam parts because T's have Bantam D1 rear lights maybe that is telling me something. Thanks again for the pointers. Cheers, Bob
