Hi. This is my first time on the forum. Since this is not a Peel for sale, I might be safe in putting my car up for sale.
It is my first car, bought when I was 12 (I am 57 now). I did a frame off restoration in 1989-1990. It's in great shape- starts and runs wonderfully. It's been stored in a climate controlled garage ever since.
I'm thinking that if a Peel can go for 40M pounds, (I'm guessing that is about 70M$US?), I think the $20,000 US I am asking is a steal.
Pictures availalble via Picasa Web Album: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/sredir?uname=kleingrega&target=PHOTO&id=5395921432516035122&aid=5395921433456827841&authkey=Gv1sRgCKi58c7U7uy_YA&invite=CPPup9YB&feat=email
The restoration was ground up- new Ate wheel cylinders, master cylinder, flex lines. All gel coat sanded down to fiberglass and regelcoated. As the original rod bearing is a bad design, after months of searching I have found a modification that makes the car dependable. New seals and bearings throughout. New interior and top. It's so much fun to drive, I put 400 miles on it in 18 months!
Lots of extra parts, perhaps the largest outside of Germany. Also, the car has a great story. Anyone wanting to hear it please email me and I'll send it to you.
Well, now if it sells, you'll know the high side of what I got out of it.

What a lovely car! This must be the ultimate Peel price hike though, now they have jumped from 40K to 40M! Where will it all end! :D :D Seriously though, it must be one of the best Spatz/Victoria's around.

Very nice.

Obviously not that much fun...!

What do you mean Perry ? :)

Perry was thinking the same as me, some of us can do 400 miles in a week in our microcars let alone 18 months!

Like i did ! Unfortunately not in a Peel, but the Schmitt or the Tg is fine for that !

I guess I am a woose when it comes to baby-ing this car. With the roads around me being Interstates, I hesitate to get on them without a rear chase car with blinkers on, which I have done only on 2 occasions. Missouri has some of the worst drivers I've experienced. It can go as high as 65 mph (per the speedometer) yet 45 mph is very easy to the car and engine.
Thanks for all your comments. All are appreciated!

You must forgive all our leg pulling! 65mph is excellent, that's all I get out of my Messerschmitt which must weigh less that a Victoria, both using the same engine. I'm impressed! Just wish I had a spare 20k.
