RUMCAR NEWS 105 is in the post today. Our Editor apologises for late delivery there was a hold up in the production line. Needless to say I am sure you will all find it well worth waiting for. If you have not signed up for 2010 copies yet, don't delay do it today! Jean

Oh dear, old age is certainly taking its toll. I do apologise to all those who receive RUMCAR NEWS complete with Open Day flier enclosed. The Flier has the incorrect date on it, it should of course be JULY 25th not June. We look forward to seeing many of you on SUNDAY, 25TH JULY 2010

Hope i'll get tomorrow ;)

Another great issue of RCN. I see from the letters page that the renaming of the magazine is still being discussed, I'm still for renaming "Microcar world". There are still a lot of unsubscribers out there who still think the mag is just about the register, forklift trucks and invalid carriages, a relaunch with a new name would almost certainly increase circulation and shake off a dowdy image. Perhaps advertising the relaunch in all the club mags. What do you think?
Also enjoyed latest MEC mag, great pic of Mr H shoehorned into his Schmitt on front cover!

I do not have strong feelings either way about re-naming. I feel that all of us who do know RUM and the forum will know about the change and not get left behind...you never want to loose existing members, so perhaps a one year period with the new name and "Formerly RCN" sort of tag line beneath just to make sure. That way we will almost certainly not loose anyone, and could gain new subscribers with a more clearly defined and lively name.

Another fantastic issue of RUM car news, especially Peel News of course!
The mystery cars seems to be a xxxxxx German prototyp car of a well known engineer, isnt it ? :)

I have been given the last two issues to look at. I had not realised I had taken over one edition. Bit embarising. It certainly remains a well written and presented magazine and not a collection of facts from anoraks like some specialist publications, well done contributors. I do not see why a new name is a problem. It can still be RUMcar News but have a brand name that is thought to suit as a banner. The name is not going to be easy as Microcar in itself is a confusing title if you come on it cold. Each area of the world has differing names for the activety and includes differing sorts of cars.
