Some of us that were that bit younger in the late 70s did not have the comforts of a campervan but had to make do with a tent. Apparently tents were all the norm back then and most people actually camped out in them at rallies too. Nothing better than going camping for your hols with a tent in your trusty old Bond, did life get any better ?

There was an alledged reported sighting of a tent at this years NMCR but in the end it turned out to a gazebo between two motorhomes :D.

Ooh ruddy heck! Where'd you dig that 'un up from!?! :o
Bonus question: who's the handsome chap captivated by the camera & what is the year? The winner doesn't get a free subscription to Conveyancer.... ;D

Here is another tenting holiday snap for you Lord Cyphus. Any idea where this was taken, what year and who is the good looking lad in his big brothers arms ?(http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z184/rumcars/Trident12371.jpg)
For extra points and a life time subscription to 'Conveyancer' what is the dogs name ?

and 2 extra points for guessing the owner of that washing :P

This isn't FGU 33C is it? The one from out of the upstairs room in that factory 'op North? & was the dog called Rex? ;D

Of course! This picture is in fact a deleted scene from Carry On Camping & is set moments after the Barbara Windsor Bikini Top scene whereby the camera, after panning round at Bernard Bresslaw & Sidney James, would then cut to to this scene where the bikini top had been grabbed by Rex the dog & then kept by his owners as a trophy to fly from the whippy ariel (not seen) on the Trident. Then later in the film, when the hippies are leaving with all the girls, the Trident was going to be used by Kenneth Williams & Hattie Jaques to give chase. But at the last moment they found both of them couldn't fit in it together & so they substituted the tandam instead for that scene. The Trident moment of fame alas, was consigned to the cutting room floor. Now, miraculously after all these years, the Peel Mafia has raided Pinewood studios to rescure this rare still for posterity! ;D

Mates, i love them old pics.
What a lovely time. Microcars / Bubblecars were used for fun and not for raising money at all !

The car's brand new or thereabouts. What a picture!
Going camping in a Peel in the day. Proof that they were used as god (or Mr CC) intended when new. Superb.
Worth remembering shots like this when they are all relegated to static showpieces in hi - end collections and museums....

Tents nervious headache? Take new improved Luke Skywalker!
A Bond with the registration E=MCsquared. Men in black had lower budgets in those days!
Great pics of happy days. Not sure I can compete with them as Father was a Morry Minor/VW Beatle man. More please.

That 'schmitt photo reminds me of one I saw about 10 years ago close to Borough tube station, just south of London Bridge. Cockpit between the 2 people crammed with stuff, roof-rack pile high with stuff and a small trailer. Way to go!

I've seen some dodgy broken dome repairs Ferdi but this one takes the buscuit! :D

Yep, thanks Bob. Its a photo that makes me laugh. ;D
