Not seen one for sale in a while: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1959-Goggomobil-Transporter-/140483122937?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item20b57256f9#ht_1017wt_958

not only that, this one has apparently been "hiding in plain sight" for many years in Kentucky.
The previous owner had it in his family since new. Everything on it is basically original except for a repaint and the bumpers are some VW things.
He was a member of the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) and would take it out to local shows only.
So unless you went to a small local car show in Kentucky you did not know this existed.
Then the vehicle appeared in a photo in a recent AACA newsletter. All of a sudden he started getting lots of offers. Gee I wonder why?
Apparently he had been getting offers in the past but for very little money. The person who did manage to buy it paid a very fair price for it (and I don't mean cheap).
And now it is for sale to the general public.

Another machine I would happily own if I found it. However I can think of many things preferable at those prices. You just have to get your botty out and about and look. If you are lucky you can find something nice. If not I will spend my spondoolies on something else.
