Title: Classic British Cars - Youtube video
Post by: DrewS on February 23, 2011, 10:27:46 pm
Having been playing on youtube as a welcome distraction from working from some very boring coursework... I came across a little gem which I'm sure all micronaunts out there might be interested in...

You have to play about a bit flicking between the parts but its a fantastic watch, even for the more seasoned micro fan... particularly the Opperman Unicar which the owner had built from a kit in 1959 (the last year of production if I'm not wrong?) not sure about his claim that it was as fast as other cars on the road back then... 1959 was the year that the mini was launched and I'm certain, having owned a classic mini that it would outrun a unicar!! Be sure to watch the section on Bond... some interesting anecdotes from Col. Gray!

And another interesting link... the peel controversy continues...amazing the amount of interest and fuss which surrounds something which  has very limited useability. Funny how the price of an original goes up and down each time you see one of these films!!!

At last an interview where the interviewee is allowed to talk! In doing so it puts this topic to bed. Anyone can make a Peel as the intellectual rights were not maintained. So the discussion turns to what is to be done with all the Peels? The 2015 Peel TT anyone?
