I have seen pics of a Mini-engined TG, a restoration story in a Classics mag 10-15 years ago, but have never heard of a Porsche powered one, would be interested and somewhat horrified to see that!

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I did find this blue Tiger-like abomination created on an italian site and also what looks to be a Messerschmitt inspired purple concept vehicle on Japanese designer Hiro Nakano's website http://www002.upp.so-net.ne.jp/cfh/prof/prof.html (http://www002.upp.so-net.ne.jp/cfh/prof/prof.html)

YUK, that is unspeakably horrible.

I cannot speak.
The other is a drawing, isn't it? Perhaps the originator saw the real car and realised his mistake before he committed it to reality. To much money really does not replace taste does it.

...and the DKW powered " Eigenfeld Tiger"

the yellow Tg above, is powered by Porsche !!! :o :o :o

I suppose it's better than being scrapped?
Then giving up the components for UK "bitzahs" TG's..!
You could make 10 TG's out of that. Set of wheel bolts here, Speedo there!

I guess you dont know, but my dad owns the mini engined tiger ;)
He still has it, but he sold the complete rear end, which was a fibre glass modified boot. Here is a video :)

I know that tuned up blue one, its a mod for a video game, my brother has the mod on the game, it replaces the Mclaren F1, so has the same performance!!!
For a video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fSoaWcOLOs
Now, for the weird thing, probably a 3d model, I saw a *nice* concept picture.
Now, for the Porsche engined TG... WOW! I love it! Its good that it has been restored like this! What I dont like about it however, are all of the seems, doesnt seem smooth enough...

I guess you don't know Jonathan that there is more than one mini powered one, I visited a guy at Hayling Island once to buy some wooden side trims he had had made up for the early KR200's and in his lockup he showed me a mini powered TG or more accurately a converted three wheeler, it looked quite ungainly! Your dads one is much nicer!

I am not sure if that is the one I saw, which had belonged to rally driver Ken Piper, with reg YOR or BOR. I think the one I saw ended up being silver. I think I also heard of a Hillman Imp powered one.

I may be mistaken but I thought that one was a real one with the right engine.

I am not sure it has not been scrapped along with some bits of Porsche! Its something styled out of a Christmas cracker only real!
Who has a Bitza TG in the UK that works? Easy to identify which cars a real or not as there is a published and up dated register of the cars, unlike Peels. You can buy a Tiger with fair confidence including providence, in many cases, of the cars prior history, therefore. Thus they are safe investments minimally hostage to massed ranks of copies. A register working correctly for mutual assistance here. In reality few copies actually make it to the road as it is difficult or expensive to do well. A Tiger engine is much harder to replicate than a DKW engine produced in 1000's. Given £50k and a choice to my mind there is no choice unless the option is one of the few Peels with proof of authenticity. The rest are becoming tainted. My exact advice to an ex dealer chum thinking of buying and he was horrified at nearly making a blunder and is reviewing his plans on investment.
What few Tiger parts are on this car are denied to the rebuilds of seriously trashed genuine Tigers being rebuilt to original spec worldwide. I am not crying about it, just stating a fact.
