This is the 2nd Fuldamobil from the same vendor. Great cars, and im just thinking bout getting one more car for my collection.
Unfortunately prizes are rising, so it seems i cant affort buying another one.
Sad anyway, as im just starting to put a small collection together.

That is why prices are going up. A lot of small collections. FRustrating when one has been around long enough to remember when no one was really very interested.

Al, im collecting bubblecars, especially Messerschmitt and Peel since more than 25 years. So what i meant was, it would be nice, to place a different microcar to my small collection. No, and i am not even dreaming of getting a Scootacar !
Another reason in my opinion why prizes are going up is, people are going to conform their childhood dream. At last in Germany they do. A lot of people aged 50 plus try to get a Messerschmitt, Isetta or a Goggomobil for example. Well, as you cannot get them just round any corner, vendors are asking rising prizes, and as long as people are nuts of getting a microcar it wont change.
That's the name of the game mates !

Hello Ferdie, I understand why you want a Fuldamobil, the S7 / Nobel has all the reliable character of the Sachs 200 motor, but in a very different design. I just used my Nobel in Manresa Spain and had a great time. It's nice to build up a small private collection, I'm also trying to get my cars all finished. The only problem is you don't know which one to use when you want to go for a drive.

Hello Nick, i totally agree with you. I like to drive them all. Some years ago i drove them all in a row around the local ice cafe.
People got mad, asking questions, and aking to buy 'em.
No chance, they all still in my possession.

So the problem perpetuates. You will not sell.
Nor will anyone else. Zero supply. With lots of eager buyers.
Not hard to deduce the outcome of all this is?!
Here's a clue for the hard of thinking!! A fierce starting bid..

Buying a collection is, or was, the easy bit. Getting a working collection is a lot harder. Of course if you collect the undrivable then that is a problem solved by default. Otherwise I have found that I can only really have a certain number of working cars divisible by their reliability factor. This alters as you drive differing machines to find the reliability factor is too low or the thing is just an unpleasant vehicle to live with. So a working collection of some age and continuity of use tells you a lot about the owner and his taste, plus the likelihood his advice is going to be more reliable than the armchair collector. Attempting to trade and to build etc also adversely effects things. A lesson I continually find unable to learn!

Didnt you mean "Here's a clue for the wishfull thinking?" ::)

The only way to find a cheap fulda is from a barn, which there is hardly any chance of getting, or from someone who doesnt have internet.
