A great clip and brings back moemories. Does anyone know who's schmitt it was? BUC 852?   Looks like the Chinese detective could give Clarkson a lesson on how to keep a reliant upright!

Attempted murder by Messerschmitt, that must be a first!, shame theres no whole episode on you tube. Incidentally the tax disc on the schmitt in the chase reads an expiry of 1982.

It has a Nobel for about 2 seconds.

Maybe my dad will know that schmitt Bob, since he knows a load of UK schmitts (he has owned over 100 schmitts!)

 Sorry, I was out working on a TG500 ;)

I think it was a bit of both SMCC & Hammond cars used in filming. The Scootacar is of course Hammond, as was the Peel and there be a glimpse of Kermit the Green Heinkel. I keep thinking the Messerschmitt BUC might have been SMCC, I've heard that number somewhere before in relation to Tony, I'm sure I have.  There's another topic on this forum somewhere about the Chinese Detective & the Hammond's involvments in shooting...

 Ah, found it!   :)
