Ebay item number 130664000488 looks like a dynastart 9E out of a frisky F3 or a mk1 scootacar or am i wrong. Engine number is 211D 20661. Get your cheque books out.

Looks 11E to me, especially the fan casing and cylinderhead. Besides the ones I own have the points over the fan casing, but I guess there are variations on the theme, so maybe it's from a scooter.

211D is for the 9E fitted to Phoenix Scooters
This site is very good for info on Villiers Engines

Yonks since I saw a Phoenix Scooter. An idle restoration as it rises from the ashes to be born again. Villiers just made so many differing versions of things. A great subject for Mastermind!

I think they did flirt with a 3T Phoenix. Martin Plummer, Harrop or someone had a special one in his collection I think.

yep al . click on the bottom pic and get onto the right hand column and does mention both the 2T and 3T . as with all villiers confusing i have no idea of the difference between a 2,3 and 4T all are the 250 twin though.
ooops read your article richard ! the 2T and 4T were 250 and 3T was 325 ish ;)
