Dear Richard
Is it a decelerometer rather than a speedometer?
Chris Thomas
-
Never heard of one . Why wouldn't it be a speedo
-
Dear Richard
It may be a speedometre that tells you how fast you are going backward? You remember the storys of how it is possible to drive as fast in reverse as forwards with reversable two stroke engines.
I have never looked but do new digital Speedometres record speed in reverse?

The old Tapley meter is a decelerometer, effectively.
I have driven the Icknield Way. Some of its route you might struggle to beat the max of the named speedometer. (Also driven the Wrong Way and got nicked)
Bob is more into the AC/DC way I think, with his GWhizz. Not sure he bothers with the school uniform and speed.
Me, Smiths of Witney, local and damned fine too. Only bettered by the blankets!

AC/DC? Naaaaaahhh! Not into heavy metal, more heavy fiberglass at the moment. :D
-
Heavy GRP, the lighter, more modern replica of Heavy Metal. But is it worth as much?
Tonight on Panorama we ignore this issue to repeat old bits of film three times each, which we have already paid for, of Birmingham in the late '70's, while our presenter shouts banalities at you at weird camera angles.

Ac speedo anyone ?
