Title: JIm Hacking
Post by: NickPoll on October 05, 2013, 06:24:41 pm
I was shocked to hear that Jim Hacking passed away earlier today. Jim was a very active microcar enthusiast from Yorkshire. He was always  great fun to be with at rallies and was always laughing. Such a shame we wont see him anymore. Out thoughts are with him family at this difficult time.

A larger than life character who will be greatly missed.  Not only did Jim restore and actively use a number of very rare microcars he also was a very talented metal worker who helped many restore their cars.  On the rally scene Jim was very welcoming to all and many a late night was spent in his company drinking the odd beer or two !.  A club member, committee member, rally organiser, supplier of panels, true enthusiast and good friend to many, Jim Hacking contributed so much to the microcar community and will missed.

Sad indeed, I loved seeing him at rallies, could certainly hold his own in the Zundapp Janus, always accommodating, will certainly be missed!
