Pop round and I can offer you a Brook Bond Premium win. No Tigers, but might be a Bond Bonobo, its Tandem too.

The Bond Bonobo has a nice sound to it, I think. Should be a friendly machine. Still this was not in the thinking at Preston. I bet they liked a good cuppa though.

Is a Tiger worth all the other toys you could have together?

Is a Tiger worth it? Of course not!

Marcus, You should drive a Tiger, then you will know if it's worth it. They are more fun than any other micro that I've driven. They are fast, have a very distinctive addictive noise, handle well. It's like a racing go cart.
If I had to sell all the toys in the barn, it would be the last one to be sold, honestly.      Nick.

I have had a ride in a TG and have driven a 200. Yup I would LOVE to drive a TG. I can only dream of a lottery win to ever own one, and then I would have enough money to have a Heinkel-Trojan too, and a Morgan 3 wheeler, and a Citroen Traction Avant, and a............

Dream on, Marcus!

Ah, Nick. You already have one. I remember scoffing at the deal for the first one at nominally £4,000, traded, if I remember correctly. Got that wrong didn't I.

I still feel it is a flawed jewel, but then perfection does not often come with character. There is a challenge to get the best from the package. If that is not your thing, move on. Once the car is obtained to tick off a list of wants in a collection, the character is not so important and that is sad. So in a way a Tiger is 'bigger' than many other cars as it demands your attention to own and drive. A KR200 does too, but as the power is not abundant, I guess its not so intense. For the same reason they are not really happy cars trundling in a load of other microcars. Schmitts are not at there best dawdling. One reason Schmitters are accused of being arrogant etc. But the fact is they are happier at over 50 than pootling about at 40 something. In convoys of mixed micros I think Tigers find themselves between 3rd and 4th gear. So that is why they often hare off together in a group. That is the experience that one needs to appreciate what they are about really.

Hello Alan, Yes it was £4,000. In fact it was £3,000 and my tatty 201 Roadster which Heiko gave me £1,000 for. I didn't want to sell the 201, but that was the only way I could get the Tg. It was a tatty Tg, but I was still able to drive it home from Dusseldorf to UK without problems.        Nick.

Well in time the Roadster got replaced so no harm done. It was that which I had the problem with as real Roadsters are so rare. Then of course if they weren't the deal probably would not have happened!
