Title: Sulky Microcar
Post by: milnes on March 24, 2014, 09:33:00 pm: Anyone have any more information on a Sulky? I've heard of them but that's about it. The seller may be a member of the forum since they mention Rum in the advert. Mmmmm Quite fancy this :o

Post by: Big Al on March 25, 2014, 07:17:28 am: Nothing specific as they differ. Had several and they are loathsome, so probably now in demand. Unusual for more modern puddlejumpers in being steel. Used to come up for sale in North France and Belgium for no money. I would suggest at least 5 in Blighty. I lump them together with Acoma, Comtesse etc in values but then I am not buying so will be getting out of touch on that.

If you could buy peels in the 70ies for small money, these cheap little things might be as valuable in 30 years as Peels are now. The big advantage you can drive hese today without being afraid of damages or accidents. Why do you hardly ever see a Peel or Bruetsch or whatever historic microcar in real life? Because they always sit in museums or wait to be restored...

So even if they are loathsome (needed a dictionary for that word), there are reasons to have one as well ;)
