I bet the Invalid Carriage Institute will be interested in this lot. Ebay item nos. 220094479198 & 220094471812
-
They'll have to get a move on if they are, 'cus the Register's got there first! ;D
-
:o SWINE!!!!!!!!!! I was bidding on them first! :'( Right, that's it! >:( It's now open warfare between the Invalid Carriage Register and the Invalid Carriage Institute!!! Annie, get your guns.... (I always knew that Tippen Delta wirh the three-inch thick armour plating and the bazoka mounted on the bonnet libarated by the I.C.R from the depths of Heywood stores would come in handy one day.)
( ;D)
-
If you joined together would you be called ICRICI ( I CRICKY)( HE NUTS) ? ;D
-
You said it baby, not us! ( ;D :-*)
How about it I.C.I? Shall we end World War Three (After all it is nearly teatime.) and join our collective forces? Then we can stage a major take-over bid for the entire micro movement and force everyone to buy at least three convayances each.....
( ;D)
-
I'm scared and confused!
-
Don't worry P50, that's a natural state to be in round the I.C.R. Now then, what sort of conveyance shall you have? how about a Model 70 with one-arm control tiller bar steering and no instruction book. ;D I'll even paint it yellow for you! Now, who gets the very-near-leathal 1965 Long wheelbase high-top AC Acedes with stabiliser wheels? Hee Hee Hee......
-
I'd be happy with a common garden Villiers equiped baby blue R reg smoke belching oil dumping sliding door AC.
Ahh, the halcyon days of my youth watching flat cap'd beige wearing oversized ear'd pensioners merrily piloting these contraptions through high streets.
A mere memory now. :'(
-
What is a MAUAL. Is it a gentleman driver ? ;D
-
They're all the same to me i'm afraid. I saw an orange sprayed ex blue invacar at last years national. It had a villiers lump in the back.
Same as Bonds. I know not of the subtle differences between each model.
My passion doesn't extend to invalid carriages. Or Bonds.
-
It seems your head is in one Peel and your backside in t'other. Horrid little things!! ;D
-
I'll ignore that yee cheeky scoundrel!
-
Alas P50,
It seems to be an attack against u n' the Peels !!!
:o :o :o
-
I'll live. Are Peels horrid? I suppose sitting in a goldfish bowl in the summer of '66 can't be described the height of luxury.
As Dolly Parton said 'You have to spend a lot of money to look this cheap'!!
I will not deviate. The Trident's my fave. :D I care not what other people think!
-
Hi Chaps, Only jealous 'cos I miss my two from '74/6. Talking of kippers, Used to smoke when I had mine. Took it to a traction engine rally one very hot day in '76. As well as the Peel smoking on the rally field so was I inside. When the day was over I emerged like a kipper! I think I also boiled my brain. Well you have to be mad to have Micros don't you. Cheers. Rob.
-
Whatsoever P50,
i don't care either, of people are agitate against the Peels. I do love the smallest cars of the world.
;) ;) ;)
-
How funny! From Invacar Manuals on ebay to Peels. I think I'll put some more on! ;D
-
heh heh
Whilst I adore my Scootacar and the Schmitt is the zenith of teutonic efficiency it's the Peel's that command the greatest adoration. I remember seeing Mr H's Trident at the NEC and I just had to have one. Slightly shocked by what they cost but that's life! Anyway never mind the price. Find a Trident for sale...
Oh and I like the P50 because I can only imagine the look of the salesmans face at Two Strokes as he got the poor punter to put his signature on the receipt and drove off towards St Albans!!
Whilst I think it's heresay there might just be 1 or 2 Tridents in a quarry in Middlesex.
Yesterdays undesirable junk becomes tomorrows priceless jewell...

Yesterdays undesirable junk becomes tomorrows priceless jewell...
That's what I keep telling everyone about invalid carriages. ;D
-
Isn't it time to get rid of that pic of Freddie? It's doing you no favours!! ::)
Have a pic of a micro!!
-
Who wants to look like a Peel? ;D
-
Or a dead drug addict?!!! ::)
-
He died of cancer not drugs. He gave lots of people pleasure in his songs. ;D
-
What's up? Don't you like a bit of fun? Who is Jimmy? Who is I_C_I? ;D
-
Hi Tri,
No fun is it , work? I went up North in the 70s, bought a Frisky Family 3, Frisky Sport and a Lambretta Truck. Happy Days!
Gordon is nearly out of intensive care, still hasn't opened his eyes yet but he is as well as can be expected. ;D
I was thinking of getting a 70 but my driving licence doesn't allow me. Is there anyone out there who has one on the road legally?
Cheers.
Bob Dobie.----- With only one B.
I wonder who it is that comes up on the Users Online List but has their name hidden?
By Gad Sir or Madam, show yourself !!
-
Or a dead drug addict?!!! ::)
Well he consumed copius amounts of Ganga. Which lead to lung cancer. So I'd say drugs indirectly killed him.
-
Smoking anything can lead to cancer. In July 1977, Marley was found to have malignant melanoma in a football wound on his right hallux (big toe). Marley refused amputation, citing worries that the operation would affect his dancing, as well as the Rastafari belief that the body must be "whole"
The cancer then spread to Marley's brain, lungs, liver, and stomach.
Now finish with this and get back to what the Forum is about. MICROCARS.

HELP SOMEONE, PLEASE. I think we need the white van! ;D
-
I'm even more scared and confused than I was before?!!!! :P
-

-
Hi, I don't think any one will take offence, some might take a gate though. Sorry, an old English joke?! ::)
As I have always said you have to me Mad to like Microcars. Men in white coats, white vans and straight jackets, (they can help to stop your hands getting dirty), all needed at some stage in a Bubblecar owner's life. Only joking chaps. I hope others like the leg pulling. It makes me laugh. Isn't that what owning, driving and chatting about our cars is all about, Having fun?
-
Hi chaps
Stuart, I have a couple of chassis plates for AC conveyances and an old style
V5 for NPJ 340D, a Model 67 AC Acedes which passed through my hands a
couple of years ago. Would you be interested in copies for your records?
Regards,
Nick D.
-
Hi Nick D,
The ICI might also be interested in the details of the old AC Acedes that passed through your hands. ;)
Nice article in 'Classic Van & pickup' on your Sherpa motorhome by the way.Not bad buy for £25 !, you could have 500ml of original Peel P50 tyre air for that amount ;D
-
Oooh, yes please Nick. Many thanks. :-* I saw that £25 Sherpa article when I was flipping through the magazines in a local shop yesterday. I didn't realise it was you though!!!! :o ::) Hold the bell Missus, I do want a copy after all! I once bought a 1965 Mercedes 220 for the same money. Compleate with sunshine floor!
The ICI can have details of Nick's old Acedes by all means. The ICR got them five years ago..... ;D
-
HiTrident
By all means, just email me your details and copies will be winging their way to you. I think one
of the chassis plates came from a Model 70 that I owned and sold to a guy in Wales "for his daughter
to use round the garden". I must try that one next time I need an excuse for an acquisition. Not
that my daughter would drive any of my stuff if her life depended on it! Bless her, she put my C5
into a wall at full tilt when she was four and still hasn't forgotten the bawling-out that she collected
for her sins.
Glad you liked the Sherpa article. The old van now has a new MoT so we're all set for another season's
camping and rallying. Roll on Summer.
Amities a tous

Trident, would you swap P50 tyre air against original Trident chain grease from 1965??? ;D ;D ;D
