An interesting snapshot of Autocar's views, just before the first British minicars became available.

But you tease us, Richard!  Can you also let us see the article in that issue which reviews the "more startling" features of the models so far seen?   :o

Well frankly Bob I would have hoped for a more friendly message than that ! I actually found the 1948 speculation interesting in its own right , it is I think one of the first mentions of our shared hobby . Period comments are I think interesting .... obviously not to some

we do after all here a lot about modern micro's on here and indeed Replicas and copies too which if I was so minded I might comment .  Possibly like all of history it is important to note when and where and indeed why things started post-war

Not meant as unfriendly Richard, just wondered what point we were supposed to be commenting on.?

He must be bored with nothing to do over Christmas and New Year. Needs to get out and get on with restoring one of his cars.  ;D

its just that some of us weren't there at the time , others who were will naturally think we are covering old ground  ;) - actually I am having a WORKING FROM HOME DAY and have been very busy - until now  :)

sorry the article so disjointed perhaps Bob and I ought to remove extra deviations  :)

You cant beat a BOND

Bond, what mini (car) roundabouts were invented for. Yep, another British innervation, kids. Just take a central position and rotate. No one can pass and the Queens 1st Bond Rangers could invade Milton Keynes in a bloodless Coup.
