Title: WANTED - GOGGO SCOOTER
Post by: Triporteur on April 08, 2007, 06:05:15 pm
I'd appreciate it if any of you international ebay-watchers - or indeed any European club members - could let me know if a Goggo scooter comes up for sale.

I can arrange collection from Europe.

Many thanks,

Colin

Yes John, i spotted that when it came on. Needs too much work. And it's ugly; I much prefer the style of the Moto Guzzi motocarro.

I already have 3 triporteurs being restored, a Peugeot TN55, an FD 125 and a '65 Lambro. Oh yes, and the Tula Muravey too.

(Which is why i use the name triporteur on various forums)

The Blotto is nearly done. Mag is just about to go back on it then it should be ready for the road.

There have been some great 50's triporteurs on french ebay over the past month. But after much hunting at last I've found a Maicomobil to restore (not cheap), so I have to call a halt to buying for a while until I sell a few of my other vehicles.

Except a Goggo scooter; I'm still on the lookout for one of them.

Thanks, Blob.

I was high bidder on the Goggo you mention, but despite loading my sniper with a higher bid for the end, I was outbid. It was annoying as the front end would have been enough for a Goggo lastenroller project I'll build later this year.

As for the P. Vallee scooter triporteur, I bought 2 scooters from this dealer and he lied about their condition. I do not trust him, so i won't deal with him again.

And I emailed the Belgian Goggo seller last time it was on ebay to see if he had any more bodywork. It's certainly cheap enough, but there's not enough bodywork (I need at least the complete front end).

Thanks Blob. Just sold my VW splitscreen on ebay, so can now afford to set my sniper for this one. Goodness only knows what it will make though; German ebay's not the cheapest way to buy goggo rollers.

Managed to snap that one up for £1200 which is a good price if it really does run well as the seller says. Got to get it back from Austria now.

Great news Colin, looks like it'll tidy up nicely.
Title: Maico mobil and Goggo Delivery from Germany today
Post by: Triporteur on May 08, 2007, 07:23:42 pm
They arrived this morning. The Goggo and also the 'Naked' Maico mobil. The rolling frame of the maicomobil body and trim are better than i expected. Now i need to see what engine might fit inside its tubular framwork. a 250cc 80's japanese engine with electric start might work. do any of your techies have any ideas?

By the way, does the Maicomobil qualify as a two-wheeled microcar to register with Rumcars? :)
