I remember reading this article when it came out. I seem to remember that it was an April Fool but
it still made interesting reading!

Ah, a Typhoon. Just like my Italjet Formula F125LC scooter. Goes like stink! How the hell do they make 125cc do nearly 100mph? :o ;D

Please refer to RUMCAR NEWS No.42 way back in Autumn 1994 ( if any of you have bothered to hoard your copies that long!) Page 3 shows the Summer Mystery Car revealed as the Tai-Phun but of course in the Winter edition Mike Shepherd hastened to point out to me (I was editor then) the date of the article and Practical Classics who ran the articlel in the first place then printed this noitice the following month:
"Don't believe all you read!
Did you notice anything slightly strange about the Tai-phun article in April's Practical Classics? Look at it again carefully, especially the technicl description of the car's gearing and suspension, and the road test reports. Still can't see it? Look at the final paragraph, and see what date the Marteen Marketing liquidation sale took place. April Fool
