Stuart, the front looks like from a Simson Duo, and the rest of it from former Krause Piccolo.
Finally its unique anyway :)

From what I can gather from the Schwalbennest website, the Piccolo Trumpf.7 was the last type of single-seater Krouse built before the company concentrated on the two-seater Duo, and it would seem that this odd front end was fitted in production. I'm still not sure about the rounded top to the engine bulkhead on the one on eBay though, but I'm wondering if it could be a bit of padding? ??? Do these things really go that fast to need padding? ;D ;)
