Great pics, love the blue scooter with its "Dan Dare" styling! (Dan Dare was a character in a futuristic comic book).

Hi Jean-do. Looks like you had a nice time, was Pierre Astier in attendance?

'I say Ginger, we ought to get one of those before we fight the mighty Meckon on his transolar disc!' The styling of these things is just brilliant. I had a big Bernadette with the firemans helmet front mudguard. A truimph of styling over practicality but simply stunning to look at. Not a computer design package in site. Brilliant. Not so sure about boosting attendance with manikins but I can think of a few events where they might be more interesting than some of the live attendees! Better dress sense too!

Hello,

Bob Purton asks :
Quote
Hi Jean-do. Looks like you had a nice time, was Pierre Astier in attendance?

Yes Pierre was with us, with Anne-Marie. We had a beautiful weather all the week-end, and we had a good time together.

The bike Liberia numbered 49 was presented. It won the Bol d'Or in 1957 with an Ydral engine. The pilot, Gilbert Guignabodet, was with us. He is a very pleasant guy.

A report on these two days will be available soon on the site of the club Ydral France : www.club-ydral.net (http://www.club-ydral.net).

Regards.
