Title: Not a micro-car, but nice.
Post by: marcus on June 23, 2010, 08:54:45 PM
When I were a lad I lived in Montevideo and these Auto Union/Audi/DKWs were one of my favourite cars, they were very common but almost unknown in UK.

Where are you now Grunhilde? That was my green Sunderklasse. Great cars and if you had been at Gaydon Two Stroke Rally you would find they are not as rare as you thought. Like the Saab these cars are as tough as old boots and love to be driven hard. Nothing on the market matches them and you either like them or not. Schmitters understand as you have to keep the kettle boiling just like people don't drive now. Its a drivers car. Styling likewise but I like the pre Americanised ones save the Thunderbird look-a-like. Interesting that there is a Peel for sale now. I would rather have another Deek and some loose change! I will pass on the Comtesse if I may to, been there, done that.
