As you well know only 40 were built between 1950 and 1960 so they are quite rare, but being all GRP and with a villiers twin engine they should have survived quite well, especially in their native climate

It looks Italian, Spanish or Hungarian. The radiator reminds me of the Spanish Pegaso trucks and David mini-car. I think Villiers engines were sold in Spain. There is a strong resemblance to FIATs 600 and Multipla. I believe SEAT were linked to FIAT and may have exchanged concepts or parts. Beyond that I am as clueless as usual on these quizzes!

Now you SEAT now you don't. Hispanio Villiers liquid cooled unit in a Bond. Just put two portholes in the wings to let the head poke through on lock. Its another nutty mod from Carlos Fandango.

According to this period ad its a Joseso by I.A.M.A. of Argentina. Looks like Chris was the only one who had the answer.

Whiffy Cheese any day! A friend brought some back from Switzerland recently, very smelly, but apparently good grilled.....
so.....
....I sliced sweet spudtatoes 1 cm thick, boiled 2 mins, fried till starting to brown, then covered in whiffy cheese and grilled till the cheese was nice and frilly. nom nom nom.

The car was built by Jose' Maria Rodriguez and is called a Joseso Monovolumen, the literal translation is Josephs Van.
Before this model was built he built a jeep type body on a tubular chassis which was the prototype for this model. By 1960 no further cars were made. 40 cars in 10 years would suggest that it was not exactly a high speed production line. The bodies were all GRP and as I have said the engine was a 250cc Villiers twin with a 4 speed gear box.

Yes, I read the same article. Funny how cars, in this case jeep are always pictured in ads being held up in the air up by hefty factory workers. Either that or being stood on by as many factory workers are can find space on the bodywork.

When I used my Drum Car at Rochester Sweeps Festival I neded up with 4 passengers on it going round the bumpy castle grounds. If the frame had bent or twisted at all it would have been very hard to separate the sliding joints, but because of the triangulated structure everything stayed put. It was its first outing, so I was very worried it would not dismantle and fit back in the car. It was only meant to carry one!

Chris, you can forget any ideas about standing on any of my cars! Same applies to big Al!! I think Marcus on the other hand could quite safely trampoline on Thumpers sunroof! :D

is it a micro ?it looks a bit like one of those body kits to put on your standard triumph chassis . cant tell lhd or rhd and usually the wheels can give it away but i dont recognise them either

I would be interested to know if there was use of Fiat panels in this car at the beginning as it is so Multipla/600 in some areas. The Multipla was pretty slow so the miniature version with a Villiers in it kind of works too. To round it off the back looks like a London Taxi so the designer might have been a Taxi fan! An interesting machine which I was not aware of.
The Peel was a study on a Ford Special theme I believe. Then ran with the idea of a sports car and then revisted the idea of limited production/kit cars with the Peel Viking, which I have owned. The Viking was a good car but unfortunately a bit late onto the market I think.

Times up! It is in fact a Nobel Sporty.
It was a 1958 prototype, built by York Noble Industries. That was used for the Nobel Vicky idea.

Are the bubble cars still in the base of the Atoma with the MIni? Last time I was there you could not go in all the Electrons/Neutron as you used to be able too.

Interesting TV program about atomic physics recently. Between each atom and the orbits of all the things orbiting it there is a (relatively) vast amount of nothing. If you were to take all the "nothingness" out of the entire human population of Earth, the remaining "somethingness" would be the size of a sugar cube. We are but dust!
