How many have survived and how many are there in the UK?

Good questions. I am amazed at the poor data on what Schmitts are left, unless it is a secret that only certain people are allowed to know. With all the interest you would expect a pretty efficient and expansive register of known car records including which cars are original, restored, bitsas, modified or scrapped. Such a list exists for TG500. This data could then be used, discreetly, to conserve or restore cars appropriately as they come to light rather than producing a sort homogeneous Schmitt of differing styles which never left the factory. Then again it makes my unrestored cars all the more valuable so perhaps I should be as selfish as many other people and count pennies rather than cars.
For the record I own most of a KR175 and two others which are very incomplete.
