Ex Bee Gee?
-
Perhaps the coffin shape is the link? :)
-
very bad taste :o
-
Sick. :(
-
Sorry, I have a hernia.
I assumed folk were aware that several of these were sold from a Bee Gee Estate a couple of years ago.
-
al i never understood the bee gees comment from you but it was the coffin comment that was in poor taste - not amusing in the slightest in the week of Robin Gibbs funeral
-
I cant see any coffin comment by Al, only one by Millstone. Unless he removed it.
-
sorry you misread my remark bob - perhaps misleading . i said that als bee gees comment hadnt upset me but i didnt understand it. the coffin comment ( enough anyway - please ) was not in good taste and made by another ( also an alastair if i am not mistaken ) - which i usually am
-
Noted and understood.

I think there were three Mini El on the Estate. I believe one went to the Bubblecar Museum. I bid on one and failed to win. They were down near Chichester I think. So this one is near that source. At a guess two years ago on eBay?
They used soft top ones at the Barcelona games as camera and support vehicles, no exhaust for athalites to ingest.
-
You are correct Al, it was a White soft top that was for sale. I think the seller has something to do with C5alive site but I don't think it made it's reserve.
-
I always fancied one of these having seen one very early on in production during a tour of North Holland in my Schmitt but I do not live in an area where it would be of great use. So purely a collectable to me. If you were to live in a conurbation and had a commute with a suitable route it would be an option for real use, a much better home. Then a soft top is not perhaps the best answer.
-
So anyone from here buy the El?
