i think on the forum we decided that a bmc mini tank grommet fitted. bob will tell you.

as regards the door strut - years ago we just used to put a neat little jubliee clip around the strut to clamp tighter , whats the international word for a jubilee clip ? they all sag. perhaps now they do better things .

Hello Thomas, I found your car in the article! Mini part sounds right, and a Jubilee / Hose clip can help as LD says. These are the circular metal strips with little slots around them, and a small lump which holds a screw; when you turn the screw with a screwdriver it works in the slots to make the clip bigger or smaller. Yacht Suppliers Shops (Chandlers) sell stainless steel (Inox) Jubilee Clips which are more expensive but look nicer and can be done up tighter than normal ones. You might need two. Do not use cheap ones because they are much less strong than good quality  Brands

Obviously explains you never having a kleinschnittger, selling your messerschmitt and buying an inter - the only one you could spell ! :D

Many a true word......
I always thought that the name Inter was a little lame, when ever people ask "whats that car" called and I say "its an Inter", the reply invariably is "Sorry, a what?" Thats why I prefer to call it by its model name "Torpedo", its a little more descriptive.
Seriously, I am looking forward to seeing your Breutch, you had better get on and finish it..

bmc mini tank grommet is a perfect fitt! Was some work to get the fillernck centered perfectly to prevent the grommet falling in the gap. When fillerneck was centered perfect, the fueltap was not inline with it's hole in the body... Had to cut 3mm of metal and now it all works fine! thanks for the tip!
